The publication of the 2026 Baccalaureate results continues across various regions. Following Itasy and Fianarantsoa, the results for the Vakinankaratra and Diana regions were released on Friday. Vakinankaratra recorded an overall pass rate of 42.83%, while in Diana, only data concerning general education is currently available, showing a pass rate of 48%.
The 2026 session marks the first time the Baccalaureate has been organized for the Vakinankaratra region. Results began appearing on Saturday at various examination centers. A total of 6,987 candidates out of 16,315 registered passed the exam across all streams. General streams had 15,549 candidates with 6,398 passing, a rate of 41.15%, while technical streams performed better with 589 passes out of 766 candidates, a rate of 76.89%.
In detail, the C stream recorded the highest pass rate in Vakinankaratra at 78.89%, though this is tempered by the low number of candidates. The A1 stream followed at 48.47%, ahead of D (46.85%) and L (42.98%). The A2 stream, which has the highest number of candidates, saw a 40.05% pass rate. The S stream recorded the lowest rate at 30.31%, while the OSE stream stood at 39.83%.
In Antsiranana, Diana region, only general education data is available for now, with a 48% pass rate among 9,228 candidates. The D stream leads with 53.27%, followed by C (50%) and A1 (48.50%). The A2, S, OSE, and L streams recorded 38.95%, 32.41%, 31.41%, and 31.06% respectively. The 743 technical stream candidates in Antsiranana can check their results online or on notice boards.
Results for other regions are expected to be announced next week. The University of Sava will hold its deliberation this Sunday, with results for the Sava region scheduled for next Monday following the establishment of a new Baccalaureate Office (DOB) leadership this year.
