The University of Fianarantsoa has released the results for the 2026 Baccalaureate. Out of 36,524 registered candidates, 18,678 have been declared successful, representing an overall pass rate of 51%. This rate is a decline compared to the previous two sessions, which stood at 57.98% in 2025 and 55.15% in 2024.
General education accounts for the vast majority of candidates. Of the 35,438 candidates who took the exam, 17,923 obtained their diploma, corresponding to a 51% pass rate. Option C recorded the best performance among general streams, with a 75% success rate.
Technical and vocational streams also recorded significant results. The vocational and technical Baccalaureate achieved a 70% pass rate, while the technological Baccalaureate reached approximately 50%.
With this announcement, the University of Fianarantsoa is the second university entity to release its results for the 2026 session. The new University of Itasy, located in Soavinandriana, published its results last weekend.
The results for the other university districts are still pending.
