Strengthening decentralization is among the state’s priorities to accelerate local development. The Minister of Economy and Finance, Dr. Ramiarison Herinjatovo Aimé, reiterated this during a meeting with local officials at the Alaotra Mangoro regional office in Ambatondrazaka, on the sidelines of the Manandratra Economic Fair. According to the minister, the government aims to empower Decentralized Territorial Collectivities (CTDs) and Deconcentrated Technical Services (STDs) to directly manage externally funded projects.
