The third edition of ‘Temps Fort Danse’ will be held from August 22 to September 12 at the Institut français de Madagascar (IFM). More than just a festival, the event will bring together performances, workshops, professional exchanges, screenings, and meetings to foster transmission, creation, and dialogue between Malagasy and international artists.
Seven shows will be on the program, blending contemporary dance, physical theater, and hybrid creations. The public will notably discover the works of Reunionese choreographer Didier Boutiana, ‘Tsy Ferana’ and ‘OG Mécanique’, alongside Malagasy creations such as ‘Echo du Monde’, ‘Marolafy’, ‘Mue’, ‘Re-In’, ‘Tanindrazana’, and ‘Rodo’.
Workshops designed for children, amateurs, and experienced dancers will offer opportunities to explore contemporary dance, popping, krump, house, locking, b-boying, and Malagasy dance. These sessions will be led by Ariry Andriamoratsiresy, Harivola Rakotondrasoa, Zoé Dinampitia, Julie Iarisoa, Martin Demethon, and the Tsingory company.
This edition will also welcome artists from Reunion Island.
