The Ministry of Higher Education has received 546 applications for Authorization, Accreditation, and Equivalence as of July 10, 2026. Among these, approximately 250 files will be reviewed by the National Authorization Commission (CNH) during this session.
Before being reviewed, the files undergo classification, field verification, and expert assessment. These phases are mandatory before the competent authorities examine the requests.
The digital platform for Authorization, Accreditation, and Equivalence (HAE) streamlines the management of these applications. This tool is designed to track the various stages of the process for files submitted by higher education institutions.
A presentation and training session on the use of this platform were held on August 3, 2026, in Fiadanana and online. The event brought together officials from public and private higher education institutions, as well as representatives from the Ministry.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to improve the quality of higher education. The Authorization, Accreditation, and Equivalence system aims to ensure compliance with standards and quality within the concerned institutions. Meetings of the National Authorization Commission (CNH) and the National Accreditation Commission (CNA) are scheduled to begin on September 21, 2026.
